“Saving Grace”

 Ephesians 2:8 Records    

“For by Grace are ye saved through Faith, and that not of your selves:                                                                               It is the gift of God” KJV

God’s saving grace is not to be obtained through any works of our own, and cannot be bought or bartered for, neither can it be traded for or passed down to one.  It is received as a gift from God to the underserved who through the faith in Jesus Christ freely receives from God.  Verse 9 “Not of works lest any man should boast.”

 Ephesians 1:7                  

“In whom we have redemption through his  blood, the forgiveness of  sins, according to the riches of his grace”

This verse further emphasis what one have in Jesus through the Grace of God.  Jesus’ blood was shed on Calvary, not because  of who we are, but because of God’s grave, meaning that our Good God does for us even though we Don’t Deserve It.  Salvation has nothing to do with who we are nor our talent and abilities, but everything to do with the goodness of God through the sacrificial life and death of his son, Jesus Christ.

 Saving Grace extends beyond forgiveness of sin, and being redeemed from a life of  sinfulness and separated from God.  But,  Saving Grace helps us to live a victorious life with God’s favor extended into
every area or our living, into the physical, the domestic and the spiritual.

 Prayer

Lord,  we thank you for allowing your son, Jesus to pay the penalty that we deserve for our sinfulness.  As we live day by day, we will remember that our salvation has nothing to do with our goodness, but everything to do with your goodness extended to us through your Grace, unmerited favor, to all who believe and have faith in the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen
